The additional line charge is due to the labour intensive nature of product evaluation. This service charge is levied by all customs brokers for extended line classification entries.
Customs legislation defines “different product lines" according to the essential character of the product, not the quantity. For example, if your goods contain: 3 x men's analogue watches, 5 x metal photo frames and 2 x tennis racquets; then you would have 3 “different product lines?.
Important: Please ensure the service you select provides clearance before the date demurrage begins on your consignment. Failure to do so may result in additional storage charges from Australia Post.

In most cases these are the only two documents you will need to provide however if our Brokers require more information they will call you accordingly.
If you have received an Australia Post Arrival Notice but did not purchase the goods (i.e. gifts, bequeathed goods or other special circumstances etc.) then Customs has specific regulations for these circumstances which we will call you to discuss.

These questions are necessary for us to comply with government regulations and are usually related to whether or not your consignment contains any biological materials or wooden components.
If we have any specific border control questions relating to your goods we will contact you to discuss them prior to electronically lodging your entry with Customs.
Email and Fax lodgement
If you do not currently have electronic copies of the Arrival Notice and/or your suppliers
invoice/receipts, you can still "start your clearance now" and provide
these documents via email/fax later. how does this work?
When you provide your contact details and answer the consignment questions online, you will be provided the option to submit your documents via either email or fax.

Evaluate, Classify, Generate and Electronically Lodge your consignment with Customs.
Product Specific Evaluation
Our licensed Customs Brokers stringently
evaluate all of your imported goods in accordance with the regulations
of the Australian Customs Tariff (which comprises over 13,000 Tariff
Classifications, 4,000 Tariff Concessions, By-laws, Precedents and
numerous other Schedules) to ascertain the lowest possible legal
Duty and GST rates applicable to your goods.
Electronic Entry Creation
Our Customs Brokers then generate an electronic "entry" for your
goods by applying legislative
rules of valuation, origin, commerce (and various other directives)
to the specific circumstances of your consignment in accordance
with regulatory government bodies including Customs,
Quarantine, Australian
Taxation Office, Boarder Control and Community Protection.
We Contact You With The Results
The Customs Broker who evaluates, classifies and creates your entry will call
you to confirm that all the entry details are correct. They will advise
you of any government Duty/GST which may be payable and process your
payment for those charges. We accept Visa, Master Card and AMEX and
Direct Bank Deposit (see What It Costs for
full charges).
We Lodge Your Entry, Instruct Delivery and Advise You
Upon your confirmation of accuracy we submit your entry and Duty/GST
payment to Customs. Once the consignment is released as "Clear"
by Customs we will email you a notification that Australia
Post has been instructed that your consignment is to be delivered
to your door.
You will also receive a copy of your customs entry, the receipt from Customs for all Duty/GST and government charges we have paid on your behalf plus an Aus-Express Customs receipt for our professional services.
